Successful 'Dry January'!

I successfully completed Dry January! It has been a great month abstaining from alcohol! I enjoyed trying out the different mocktails, soft drinks (opting for the low calorie options) and maintaining my love for tea!

I feel better for participating; I have more energy in general; coped better with the demands thrown at me especially with the busy time at work and felt generally more positive with my lot in life.

I would be very happy to continue with my life without alcohol...apart from an occasional glass of wine or bubbly! I do yearn to a cocktail but I certainly more attracted to mocktails these days! My likely place now to socialise would be in a gelato cafe than a pub! As well as being 'dry' I want to pursue more physical activity.  I've signed up for the local 'Cycle for Health' programme and planning to do a charity swim-marathon in spring!

Dryingly upwards and onwards!

Very Berry Juice Mocktail!

Sorry for the delay for my blog updates as I've been sick.  Doing better now...

We recently tried one of the lovely mocktails at The Pit, a chain bar/restaurant in North Leeds.  I can't recommend enough the Very Berry Juice mocktail.   As described in the drinks menu;

Very Berry Juice Mocktail!

"A blast of fruit flavours to await you senses.  Cranberry juice is combined with apple, raspberry, strawberry, mint and lime to create this delicious mocktail."

Went well with the lovely burgers we ordered!  We enjoyed our visit!  Please check out The Pit
